The continent of Sibiril. A land ruled for a thousand years by kings and torn apart for a thousand years by wars. Its people toil in fields for their masters and die for faceless monarchs untold miles from their homes....
Description
Command Katja and her ragtag group of insurgents as they fight to destroy the oppressive monarchy of their homeland, Levare. Rebellion of Levare is a Fire Emblem fangame created from July-September 2020. The gameplay closely mirrors that of Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones, with a series of chapters to complete as you progress through the story. RoL features 6 chapters, 3 recruitable ally characters (8 total), and plenty of bootlickers to defeat in combat.
Rebellion of Levare was built using the Lex Talionis engine by rainlash. Lex Talionis is a tool used to create Fire Emblem GBA-styled games without the need for ROMhacking.
Important Notes
- Katja or Anath dying will result in a game over; everyone else will retreat from combat, and return on the next map.
- None of the recruitable units are hard to get; there is one each for the first three chapters.
- Because this isn't a ROMhack, there are some slight discrepancies between it and the official games. These include:
- Letters print silently, without making sound.
- There are no staves, just healing magic.
- There are some small tweaks to certain weapons and classes that you may notice as you play.
- There are also some known issues that were either impossible or not feasible for me to fix. These include:
- Red range (attack) squares don't show up when moving certain allied classes.
- The healing circle effect does not appear for units on forts (it still takes place, however.)
- The "speedup" button (start, defaults to the S key) causes bugs when used repeatedly. They are mostly not serious, but be careful.
- Music does not loop gracefully & occasionally behaves strangely (this is due to limitations with Pygame, which LT is built with).
